In Middle-earth, the fictional fantasy universe of J. R. R. Tolkien, Menelmacar is the Quenya name for the constellation known today as Orion. Menelmacar superseded the older form, Telumehtar (which nonetheless continued in use), and was itself adopted into Sindarin as Menelvagor.
