Mendig

Mendig is a town and a municipality in the district Mayen-Koblenz, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated approx. 6 km north-east of Mayen, and 25 km west of Koblenz.

Mendig is also the seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Mendig, which consists of the Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities") Bell, Mendig, Rieden, Thür and Volkesfeld.
