Mendeed is a Thrash Metal band, formed in Dumbarton, Scotland. All members met in Dumbarton Academy as teens and formed Mendeed soon after.

They began as a Nu Metal band but switched styles following the 'Killing Something Beautiful' EP as the genre began to fade in popularity to Metalcore.

In December 2003 Mendeed signed a recording contract with UK label Rising Records. The bands first recording for the label was the mini-album "From Shadows Came Darkness" which was released in September 2004 and produced by Mark Daghorn. Since its release tracks have been played on rock and metal radio stations and a live session was recording and aired on BBC Radio 1 Rockshow. They have since toured quite extensively, supporting the Power Metal band DragonForce on two separate tours.

In December 2004 the video for single "Ignite the Flames" was added to the playlists of MTV2 shows "Headbangers Ball" and "120 Minutes" as well as being added to the catalogue of Scuzz TV.

They released This War Will Last Forever in 2006 on Rising Records/ Nuclear Blast. It has achieved critical acclaim throughout the metal world, and hs cemented their place as one of the future hopes of British metal.

They are currently on tour with Napalm Death, after a recent tour supporting Slipknot. Alledgedly on this tour Mendeed, after some heavy post-show drinking with Slipknot, ended up throwing a television screen through a window.
