The Menara Alor Star is a 165.5 meter tall tower in Alor Star, in the state of Kedah, Malaysia. It was built for Telekom Malaysia at a cost of RM40 million.
Apart from serving the role of a telecommunication tower, it also caters as a tourist destination for the town. The tower also houses some restaurants and souvenir shop. The tower becomes as the Islamic falak observatory to look for the crescent moon to mark the beginning of Muslim month of Ramadhan, Shawwal, and Zulhijjah, to celebrate fasting month of Ramadhan, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Aidiladha.
The observation deck is at a height of 88 meter from the base of the structure
