This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Melanie Brown article.

Neither of the external links seems appropriate — the first one is still under construction, and the second one is a Portuguese-language-based Yahoo group. TheGoblin 23:23, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

The first link is now active, even if the web design is not for the visually impared... the second link still seems inappropriate. TheGoblin 22:37, 8 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] POV

I have made some major revisions to the article to remove POV slanted content, and lots of speculative original research. The article still needs some serious citations for a lot of claims that seem to have no general basis. Pacian 20:41, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Musical career

Maybe it's a wikipedia thing, but for a regular reader, starting the career section with "At the height of the Spice Girls' success" looks a bit weird. Surely she did something before she reached that point?

Actually it is the truth. Melanie Started out musically in the Spice Girls (before that she was in dancing school) and when they were at the height of their fame she first ventured solo with "Word up" and "I want you back". By the time her solo album came out (2000) the girls fame was waning and in question. So thats technically the truth of it. user:The Ginger one

[edit] Scary Spice

I was under the impression that the Spice Girls' nicknames wer a marketing tool and not assigned by the media. at any rate theres no source for that information, shouldn't there be? 134.83.1.233 12:07, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

According to their biographies (Melanie B, Victoria, and Geri have all written at least one biography) the Top of the Pops mag gave them the nicknames and they just kinda 'stuck'. They eventually started playing into it always saying "Oh Posh you dont have your black dress on!" "Oh Baby where's your pigtails?" user: The Ginger one
