Mellisa Hollingsworth-Richards (born October 4, 1980 in Eckville, Alberta) is a Canadian athlete who won a bronze medal in the Women's skeleton event at the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Mellisa is 5 foot 7 and 61kg and began competing in the Olympics with the women’s skeleton team in 1995. She was brought to the Canadian team in 1996. She’s been near the top of the rankings for several seasons but moved into the number 1 position on the World Cup standings this season thanks to some stellar performances.

During her career in skeleton she has brought her country 2 silver medals and 2 bronze. Her first medal was a silver earned in the 2000 World Championships. Her second medal was also a silver but was earned at the 2002-2003 World Cup events. Her third a bronze earned at the 2003-2004 World Cup events. Her fourth and most recent medal was also a bronze but earned at the 2004-2005 World Cup Events.

Mellisa has done very well this year she placed 1st at the Calgary Women's Skeleton Event, 2nd at the IGLS Skeleton event, 1st at the Koenigssee Skeleton event, 3rd at the Sigulda Skeleton event, 2nd at the Lake Placid Skeleton Event, 2nd at the St. Moritz skeleton event, 3rd at the Altenberg Women's Skeleton event, and at Olympic Games in 2006 she won bronze.
