The village has a school in the west, a church named Agios Tryphonas and also a square, and a communal centre. The village is on a hilly setting lying just north of the ravine, and a small one to its east. It is connected by only one east-west paved road while others are accessed by gravel. It is an agricultural village with the majority live in rural areas. It is surrounded by a few forests and groves to the north. Outside the village has a spring in the west.
In 1993, an evening fire burnt almost the entire community's worth of farmland, forest but didn't reached the entire village but cut off power supply for a day, but the streetlights weren't until about a week after.
