Melbourn Village College a comprehensive community college, serving an extensive area of South Cambridgeshire.

The school has over 600 students aged 11-16. The community programme provides classes, clubs and sports activities and offers the hire of premises for many purposes. Since September 2002 Melbourn Village College has been a specialist performing arts college with Music, Drama and Dance as it's specialisms.

REMEMBER - Bring the correct homework and equipment to the lesson. Forgetfulness is no excuse.

EQUALITY - Treat others in the way you would wish to be treated. Respect the feelings and the property of others.

SAFETY - Take care of others and yourself. Keep to the left in corridors and on stairways.

PUNCTUALITY - Arrive on time and settle down to work quickly and quietly. Do not be late; do not delay the learning of others.

EXCELLENCE - Make sure that you do your best at school and at home. Work with the staff for your future's sake.

CARE - Care for the College site and all its users. Pick up litter, care for others and observe the uniform code.

THINK - Respect others and you will be respected! Your happiness depends on good relationships.

For all students, the main uniform requirements are as follows:

  • Royal blue college sweatshirt
  • White college polo shirt or plain white shirt or polo shirt (no commercial logos)
  • Black trousers, skirt or culottes
  • Black shoes (not trainers), flat or with low heels
  • Black socks or tights
  • Black tailored knee-length shorts may be worn in the summer

In Year 11 a distinctive dress colour is chosen for sweatshirt and polo shirt. The current distinctive dress colour is bright red prefects wear bottle green.
