Melanie Valerio

Melanie Valerio (born May 7, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American swimmer, who graduated from Hawken School in Gates Mills, Ohio and the University of Virginia.

Valerio won a gold medal as a member of the winning 4 x 100 Freestyle Relay team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.

Valerio swam only in preliminary heats and not in the final heat. She attempted to qualify again in the 2000 Summer Olympics, but did not make the team.
