Mel Proctor

Mel Proctor is a long-time television sportscaster, working for, among others, the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Clippers at various points in his career. Proctor has also done radio play-by-play during his career, working for the Washington Bullets and the New Jersey Nets in the 1980's.
Proctor was the play-by-play announcer for Washington Nationals baseball, teaming with former major-league pitcher Ron Darling on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network but did not return for 2006.
Proctor is well known for making practical jokes on the air and for reading stats out of the media guide.
