Mel Croucher

Mel Croucher is a British businessman and journalist. Originally an architect, he moved into computers and set up the software company Automata UK. This label published several games for the early home computer market including Pimania, Groucho (aka My Name Is Uncle Groucho, You Win A Fat Cigar), Drunk Policeman and the groundbreaking "multi-media" title Deus Ex Machina.
He has also worked as a journalist, writing a column called "Monitor" and an episodic humorous story called Tamara Knight for the ZX Spectrum magazine CRASH in the 1980s[1], as well as columns for various computer magazines since.
He is currently CEO of "My Reputation", an internet PR company.
He also writes 'Zygote' in Computer Shopper.
