Meilahti (in Swedish Mejlans) is an area of Helsinki between Mannerheimintie (the main entrance road to Helsinki) and a bay named Seurasaarenselkä. Most of the houses in Meilahti are built in the 1930s. Meilahti is home to over 6700 people including the President of Finland Tarja Halonen who lives on the shore in a house called Mäntyniemi which is her official residence. Also the former presidents Martti Ahtisaari and Mauno Koivisto have lived in Mäntyniemi. Matti Vanhanen (Prime Minister of Finland) also has an official residence, Kesäranta, in the Meilahti area.

Many hospitals are located in this district, e.g. Helsinki University Central Hospital (HUCH).

Neighbourhoods surrounding Meilahti are Töölö, Munkkiniemi, Ruskeasuo, Pikku Huopalahti and Laakso.
