Mehadia

Mehadia (Hungarian: Mehádia) is a commune in the Caraş-Severin County, in the valley of the Bela Reca River. It is located on the site of the ancient Roman colony Ad Mediam. It had a population of 2,402 in 1900, and of 4,474 in 2002.

In 2006, the town's name was in the news headlines when Irinel Columbeanu, a Romanian businessman, crashed his Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
