Megan Williams

Megan Williams (11 September 1956-17 April 2000) was an Australian actress and singer, best known for her role as Alice Sullivan in the television drama The Sullivans.

Williams' first major role was as an on-going lead in daily soap opera Class of '74. The long running role of Alice in The Sullivans followed. After that series ended she continued to act on Australian television, with a guest role in Australian Broadcasting Corporation drama-musical series Sweet and Sour (1984), a key role in miniseries Anzacs (1985), and an on-going role in big budget Australian evening soap Return to Eden (1986). In the late 1980s she worked in the UK, appearing in one episode of British soap opera EastEnders.

Williams was in a relationship with Cold Chisel singer-guitarist Ian Moss for 12 years, before they separated in the 1990s.

Williams survived a bout of breast cancer in 1997, however the disease returned in late 1999 and she died in a Sydney hospice in April 2000, aged 43.
