MegaCharts

MegaCharts is responsible for the composition and exploitation of a broad collection of charts, of which the Mega Top 50 and the Mega Album Top 100 are the most known ones. Mega Charts also provides information to the Stichting Nederlandse Top 40, of which the Dutch Top 40, Tip Parade and other charts are based on. MegaCharts are also part of GfK Benelux Marketing Services.

The Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart has been based on official single sales and legal downloads. The list is especially intended for the music industry. Up to May 2006, also airplay data were counted toward the list, but only toward the positions 51 till 100. The Dutch version of Top of the Pops uses the upper 50 positions of the list, pointed out as Single Top 50. (similar to the Hot 100 Singles Sales chart)

The Tip Parade is of origin a radio Veronica-chart of 30 record which make chance on appearing in the Dutch Top 40, based on sales of wholesale trade and retail. The chart started out as a list of 20 records in 1967. The first official Tip Parade appeared on July 15, 1967. With the figures of sale and airplay among others, the classification is determined. (no similar chart in the U.S.)
