- This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopaedic content.
- The design of this template was based upon {{Meetup/LA/Invite}}
- IMPORTANT: This template should be transcluded ({{Wikipedia:Meetup/Singapore/Invite}}) and not substituted (subst) because it will change. Transclusion allows easy updating of all of these templates throughout the project without having to trackdown and edit the pages containing different versions of the same template.
- It also allows us to track those who have the template on their pages and invite them to future meetups
- This template has a Parser function to detect where it is transcluded. When transcluded onto most pages, the text has a link to the relevant meetup page. When transcluded onto the meetup page itself, the text informs people to scroll down for details.
