Regular face-to-face meetings of Wikipedians take place in cities around the world. This page is used as a starting point for Wikipedians organising meetups, and subpages are used for finalising the details once a meetup has been agreed. For meetings in other languages/places please use the interlanguage links from this page.

[edit] Procedure
- Solicit invitations of geographically local Wikipedia users.
- Use or create a sub page of Wikipedia:Meetup to organise the meeting.
- Use an info box like {{Wikipedia:Meetup/Melbourne/Invite}} for mass invitations.
- Solicit invitations of geographically local non-Wikipedia users.
- Use other mediums outside of Wikipedia to advertise to non-Wikipedia users like classifieds advertising and word of mouth.
- Organize eating arrangements.
- Organize location.
- Create a list of Wikipedians interested in future and regular meetups for a given location where they can sign up (alternatively, userboxes with corresponding categories can be used).

Up to and including 9th December 2006, there have been 75 meetups in various locations across the globe. Taipei has hosted the most times, with a total of 11 (including CWMC 2006). London, Hong Kong and Shanghai have all hosted 4 times.
