[edit] Luigi30
Nomination Rejected due to opposition from within the medcom. Redwolf24 (talk) 18:15, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
I've been on here for a year. Those who know me on IRC know that I'm not one to get angry easily and am quite good at handling arguments, even against blatant trolls. I figured, what better way to help the community than by doing what I do best: resolving conflicts and keeping everyone happy? User:Luigi30 (Ταλκ) 22:41, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
Mediation committee:
- Neutral. I rarely see you outside of IRC, so I don't know your merits onsite. Redwolf24 (talk) 22:48, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
- Support. Andre (talk) 20:31, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- Support, after poking around in contributions for a bit. — Catherine\talk 03:36, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
- Neutral — Luigi, I haven't interacted with you in the past; also, (not that it really matters, and it's not a requirement, AFAIK), but you're not an admin yet, so I can't quickly judge community support for you. I would like to get to know you better; please drop me a note on my talk page or email me and we can take things from there. Thanks! Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk | WS 14:48, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
- Leaning towards oppose. Luigi30, from your first first RfA, in response to the standard question about conflicts and disputes, you responded There was a user who kept pasting a vanity ad page for himself. I tagged the page for speedy deletion and he recreated it four times. Each time I tagged it, and then called for an admin in the IRC channel. My user page was then blanked by this user. The user was blocked by the admin and my user page was restored. If I were an admin, I would have warned the user that recreating the advertisement page was not allowed. When it reached the fourth time, I would have given him a final warning. When he blanked my talk page, I would have blocked him for 24 hours for repeated vandalism and [sic]. In your second RfA earlier this month, your response to the same question was I find that I haven't been in many conflicts that haven't been against pure vandals or trolls. I've never had an RFC or RFAr against me, so I think I don't have much experience in edit wars or editor conflicts. I feel that a mediator should have experience with tough and volatile experiences, attempted to resolve a dispute, or demonstrated your abilities in Wikipedia. Is there any reason why you have not been involved or done any of these things? Many thanks. Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk | WS 00:00, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
- Neutral I have absolutely no objections to this candidate, but like Redwolf24 and FlCelloguy, I don't have any frame of reference to guage his abilities. I'd like to see commentary (testimonials?) from individuals in the community who have had mediation-type interaction with Luigi30. However, if there are no objections raised here, please count me as a Support. -- Essjay · Talk 20:37, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- I have no real experience of this user bar a little in the build-up to his second RfA where I nominated him. I would be more than happy to see him an admin, but haven't seen enough dispute resolution to judge him a good mediator. With what Flcelloguy wrote, I am forced to oppose at the present time. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sam Korn (talk • contribs).
