Computerjoe (talk • contribs) As some of you may know, I'm the chairman of Wikipedia:Community Justice. My organisation tries to ensure civility is maintained on the Wikipedia. I'm not sure if I have enough expertise in dispute resolution for MedCom's liking, however I believe I'm easy to get along with and I always remain civil. I think I'd be a good person to create compromise which both sides agree with. Computerjoe's talk 19:08, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Mediation committee:
Neutral for now. Seeing as you're not an administrator, and I really haven't had much interaction with you, show me how you've gained the respect of the community (a requirement for being a mediator.) Ral315 (talk) 04:08, 14 April 2006 (UTC)- If you look at my latest RfA you can see that even many of the oppose votes aren't because I don't have the respect of the community. Also, many editors think I'm an admin! Computerjoe's talk 07:50, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose. Being on the Mediation Committee needs community trust and respect. Failing two RFAs doesn't show me this. You may be a great user, but the position of mediator absolutely needs the approval of the community, and I don't see it. Ral315 (talk) 07:56, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- My first RfA was speedily withdrawn by myself as opposes were on grounds of experience. My second RfA didn't reach a consensus as it was too soon after my first RfA. This doesn't always mean I don't have the trust and respect of the community. However, I respect your vote but am saddened by it. Computerjoe's talk 07:59, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose. Is currently unfamiliar with the culture of medcom. Maybe another time. Andre (talk) 23:14, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
