Mediumwave transmitter Bremen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mediumwave Transmitter Bremen is a medium wave broadcasting facility. It was built in 1999 at Bremen-Oberneuland, Germany. It replaced the old transmitter at Bremen-Lehe, which had to be shut down. The mediumwave transmitter at Bremen uses a cage aerial, mounted on a 45 metre high grounded, guyed steel mast framework.
This aerial has a high gain of 4.5dB, meaning that the 50 kilowatt transmitter brings the same efficiency as a 140 kilowatt transmitter.
