Medical practice consultants

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Medical practice consultants typically advise physicians on the business issues they face in outpatient private practice. They rarely overlap with consultants that advise hospitals on administrative issues. There are many subcategories and specialties within the field. The leading journal in the field is Medical Economics Magazine. There is a trade association in the US with over 300 members, the National Association of Healthcare Consultants that also serves dental practice management consultants and consultants to other specialties of licensed healthcare providers. Consulting rates vary from under $100 per hour to over $300 per hour.
