"Medellia of the Gray Skies" is a b-side off the Tonight, Tonight CD single by The Smashing Pumpkins. It's a mellow song with voice drowning deep in the layers of acoustic instruments. It was briefly considered for Mellon Collie... as a companion piece to "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans" song, and carried a working title "E.P.". Songwriter Billy Corgan finished lyrics during recording of the song. He plays a 12-string guitar and sings on this song, which is a duet with The Frogs, whose bandmembers Dennis Flemion and Jimmy Flemion played piano and additional guitars. Medellia... was recorded on fall of 1995 in Soundworks studio.
The song was released as a b-side, and was also included in "The Aeroplane Flies High" box-set.
