- Mechanica is the annual technical festival of the Mechanical Engineering Association of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Mechanica started off in 2000, and its prime focus has been the hands-on events such as Robotics and Contraption.Teams from colleges all over Chennai compete for the top position in these events.Also popular are the tech quizzes, How Things Work and Mechanica Main Quiz. - Mechanica is also the name for a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software package from PTC (Parametric Technology Corporation).
