[edit] Sandwich description

The Meat'normous Omelet Sandwich (abbreviated as MOS in this article) consists of sausage patties, bacon, ham, eggs and American cheese on a sesame seed bun.

[edit] History of the sandwich

The MOS was introduced in May 2005, and is a variant on the Enormous Omelet Sandwich. The sandwich attracted additional media attention to Burger King for the large caloric and fat content in the MOS as well as other over-sized menu items like the Triple Whopper, Enormous Omelet Sandwich and the Double Croissan'Wich.

[edit] Advertising

Burger King again used the viral marketing ads featuring the "creepy" King, who presented the product to unsuspecting consumers in unexpected places such as their own bedroom or in their front yards. It was promoted with the slogan "meat...on top of meat...on top of meat... Wake up to a mouthful of breakfast with the Meat’normous Omelet Sandwich." The television advertisement was a variant of the Enormous Omelet Sandwich commercial: "Two slices of melted American Cheese, two fluffy eggs, three crispy strips of bacon, two sizzling sausage patties and two slices of ham, piled high on a toasted bun. The Meat’normous Omelet Sandwich from Burger King. So big, breakfast will never be the same."

[edit] Sandwich trivia

  • The sandwich closely resembles the "Good Morning Burger", a fictional sandwich in the Simpsons episode "Bart's Friend Falls in Love", that had been intended as an exaggeration that could not actually come to pass in real life.
