Meßkirch is a town in the Sigmaringen district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Meßkirch is home to 8670 inhabitants. The Bodenseesender radio transmitter is located in the nearby village of Rohrdorf. Meßkirch is the birthplace of the preacher Abraham a Sancta Clara (born in nearby Kreenheinstetten), the composer Conradin Kreutzer, and the philosopher Martin Heidegger.
