McKeever And The Colonel was a situation comedy broadcast on television in the US in the early 1960s. Its setting was a school run on military lines. "McKeever" was the name of a student, below high-school age, who was the lead of the series. He was referred to thuswise, as in the army—by his family name. "The Colonel" was what the principal was called.
