[edit] Sports
McFarland competes in the WIAA Badger South Conference. The school may move to the Rock Valley Conference beginning in the 2008-09 school year. The school is said to excel in non-traditional sports, such as Cross-Country and Track under the reputable coaching of Bruce Fischer. Boys Swimming under coach Nick Wiess and girls swimming under coach Heidi Ackley both regularly do very well. Unfortunately, the school often falls behind in the traditional sports such as football and basketball, with the football program posting a 3-6 record for the 2006 season.
