McAdam, New Brunswick

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

McAdam is a village in southwestern New Brunswick, Canada. As of 2001 the population was 1,513.

The village was founded in the 1860s where two railways, both of which later became part of the Canadian Pacific Railway, crossed each other. McAdam thus became an important railway junction, and a large, imposing railway station was constructed with hotel accommodations on the second floor. The building is now being renovated thanks to donations from the town's people and visitors from all around.
