Mayatan School is a bilingual (Spanish/English) school in Copán, in the west of Honduras. It was established in 1991 by Arita de Wélchez, a local woman. In the 2003/2004 school year the enrollment was 210.
The school uses native English speakers, primarily from North America, as the principal teacher for each grade. Local teachers teach Spanish and social studies and assist the principal teachers.
