Maya Hakvoort

Maya Hakvoort (born on September 19, 1966 in Nijmegen) is a very successful Dutch musical actress in Europe.
Maya debuted 1989 in "Jeans". Haakvoort studied at the conservatory of Maastricht and at the kleinkunstacademy "De Trap" in Amsterdam, before she started gatheric practical musical experience in Holland, Germany, Austria and Belgium. After numerous minor and greater roles she got in 1994 her up to now most famous title role in the "Theater an der Wien" as Empress Elisabeth in the equal named most successful German-language musical of all time, replacing Pia Douwes in the role. As playing the title role in Elisabeth she gained wide recognition throughout Europe. At the moment (2006) Maya Hakvoort is touring with her solo her soloprogram "Maya Goes Solo" through Austria and Germany.
