Doctor May Wright is a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. She is played by Amanda Drew.
May is the new General Practitioner for Walford, and clashed with Dot Branning on her first day in the job. Dot was about to start smoking in the café and May told her it was a non-smoking area. Dot called her a "rude woman" and left. They later met outside the surgery where May told Dot smoking was bad for her health. Dot said she'd just seen the doctor, who said smoking was fine in moderation. May said she didn't remember seeing Dot, and introduced herself as the new doctor. She has since visited Billy and Honey Mitchell to check up on their baby, Petal, who has Down syndrome. On 13 November May was revealed to be the wife of Rob Minter, Dawn Swann's boyfriend.
