Hi, Max24, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the Five pillars of Wikipedia and simplified ruleset. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will be by to help you shortly.

[edit] Additional tips

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Five will get you the datestamp only.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

[edit] Celine Dion Recording Dates

You told me that I am vandalizing by changing when Celine Dion recorded her albums and that you knew more about it than me. Well your wrong about one of them because according to you A New Day Has Come was recorded 2001-2002. It was not!! It says on her official website here is the link to the page saying so [1]It says" Céline's upcoming album, ' A New Day Has Come' was recorded at Studio Piccolo in Montreal during the autumn months of 2001." If you dare say that Im vandalizing when I change it to 2001 I can glady give prove that Im not.

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:TPDB.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:TPDB.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 14:56, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Celine Dion Sales

Hey Chris you have done a good job on the album and singles page for Celine Dion. It must have taken a lot of work. I just think though that the total worlwide sales for each of the albums might be off. I think sometimes they are too much. Before these pages were put we had much lower album sales and the ones you have are much higher. I know you probaly meant the best because a lot of sources seem to be inaccurate, so I know its probably not your fault. It's not that Im trying to critize you its websites that dont put accurate information. I mean over the years it seems to have changed drastically. It was about 100 million albums at most in 2000 and then in 2004 she went all the way to 175 million!! Im writing such a long paragraph because you seem someone who really likes Celine Dion and Im sure you would want the most accurate information and make the discography as best as possible. --Interestedscholar 23:31, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Celine Dion

Hey Max24 or Chris whatever one you want. Im sorry about changing the dates that Celine Dion recorded her french albums because now I see in All Music Guide that it says those dates that you have been putting up. So sorry about that.

I, Orane, give Max24 this Award of Diligence for his continued contribution to everything Celine Dion. Good job. Orane (talkcont.) 03:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi Max24. I'm Orane (or Journalist, as I'm known on Wikipedia). I just want to introduce myself, and thank you for all the hard work you have been doing on "Celine Dion". I wish you were around when I was writing that article; we could have been a great team :). Anyway, thanks again. Feel free to ask me for help with anything (I'm usually away during the days though).

I'm a huge Celine fan myself. My mom loves her too. I remember when I was young, my mom owned one album from Celine — Falling In to You — and believe it or not, she used to play the record every single day lol. (That's how I grew to love Celine). When my mom had more money to spare, she bought Colour of My Love and All the Way.

Anyway, that's enough from me. Hope you continue to contribute. I'll give you this honorary award as encouragement. Orane (talkcont.) 03:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A L'Olympia / À l'Olympia

Hello... just wondering why you reverted my move of this article? The name "À l'Olympia" (with the accent, and lower case l) is used throughout the text, so surely the article title should reflect that? Loganberry (Talk) 23:51, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I Believe in You (Je Crois en Toi)

Thank you for your contributions to I Believe in You (Je Crois en Toi). Some edits have been made to the article in order to bring it into harmony with Wikipedia's Manual of Style. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines shown there. All edits that do not follow these guidelines have been changed to match what our MoS recommends. Wikipedia does not require writers to follow all or any of these rules, but their efforts will be more appreciated when they do so. Extraordinary Machine 16:25, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Le Ballet

It may be that, as you put it, this song "is very important... in Celine Dion's discography"; however, the article itself makes no assertion of that importance, and without an explanation of what that importance is, the article may be nominated for deletion. Please review the proposed notability guidelines for songs, bearing particularly in mind that, as the proposed guidelines state, "there is consensus that the vast majority of songs do not deserve an article specifically devoted to them." --Rrburke 15:01, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] It's All Coming Back to Me Now

Hello. Could you please take care when making ammendements to this article. I've spent hours on it, and it's been/going through peer review and is a good article candidate. The JPStalk to me 10:03, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh, and would you consider using th epreview button, rather than making loads of small edits. And please don't remove the ciations, as you have to the reviews section. The JPStalk to me 10:06, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
And why this removal exactly? Please stop removing things. The JPStalk to me 10:08, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
I have removed much of what you added because an independent reviewer has deemed it as non-notable. Indeed, as a result of that excessive chart information, it has failed criteria 3 of the good article criteria, which I've been working hard to get it to over the last month. I appreciate that you have attempted to make the artilce better... that's great... but on this occassion I'd be grateful if you don't make any further major changes without discussing it first. The JPStalk to me 14:08, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Celine Dion

Max, Thanks for your hard work on the Celine Dion song articles. I have noticed several formatting issues with them however, and I have made some changes but decided that you may want to take care of these yourself (if not, I can continue to clean them up). Please take note of several formatting style guides within Wikipedia, particularly WP:SONGS and WP:MUSIC/TABLE. Per Wikipedia's Manual of Style, album titles are italicized and song titles are "quoted". Also chart tables should use the "wikitable" template and should not include the boldfacing of chart positions. I can work with you on correcting these if you wish, just let me know. Thanks! - eo 13:02, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just a tip :)

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. -- lucasbfr talk 13:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Celine Template

Hi Orane, is there a chance that you could add Celine Template

Celine Dion
Albums | Singles | Videography | Tours | Awards

at the bottom of the Celine Dion main page?

With time I have created many new pages about Celine's singles, albums, videos and tours. It would be easier for Wikipedia visitors with this Template on the first page (I think). So, what would you say?

Max24 02:08, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

Actually, it's not convention to place the template at the bottom of the main articles (even though some poorly written articles do it) because the links in these templates are already linked to in the main article. However, you can put the template at the bottoms of other articles, like Celine Dion awards and discography etc. Orane (talkcont.) 03:16, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
To try and make it up, I've added the links in the template to the main article. Orane (talkcont.) 03:25, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A New Day... copyright violations

Hi Max,

Welcome to wikipedia. We appreciate the active editing and contributions you have made to the community. However, please make sure the material that you so painstakingly wikified and transcribed are not copyrighted. I had to remove much of the information on A New Day... because they were pulled directly off of http://www.celinedion.com/anewday/english/about.html and related pages. If you have any questions, leave a message on either my Talk page or on the Discussion page for the topic. Happy editing!

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:1 fille & 4 types1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:1 fille & 4 types1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 16:21, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
