Talk:Maximilian von Götzen-Iturbide
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
His ancestor, Salvador de Iturbide y de Marzán, renounced any claim to throne after the death of his adoptive father Maximilian. Maximilian von Goetzen cannot be addressed as Prince or referred to as a pretender to the Mexican 'throne'. -Hugh Amazzio-
- This is no different from Otto von Habsburg who also renounced the throne of Austria but is still considered the head of the House of Habsburg. The claim of Doña Concepción to the throne of Mexico is a minority within the already small camp of the Mexican monarchists. -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 20:06, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Otto von Habsburg is Head of the Habsburg family regardless of the title Emperor. Any reference to him would not use his titles, instead you would find "Dr. Otto von Habsburg". There is no proof that Doña Concepción's claim is less supported, as at least she lives in Mexico. Mike Fenton.
