Talk:Max Reger

His students also included the composer Johanna Senfter. By the way, in my edit note I meant the Jecklin recording of the 8th and 9th violin sonatas - the Koch Schwann recording is of the 4th and 5th string quartets, the latter of which is practically contemporary with, and shares at least one theme with, the 8th sonata. (Unsurprisingly both were premiered in 1911.) Schissel : bowl listen 13:56, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

Note: The trivia I added is not fictitious; instead of deleting it, it would be rather helpful and friendly if someone would improve its style (of course it can be deleted if it is really irrelevant). Among my sources are an old German encyclopedia on famous people, the German Wikipedia and several German sites dealing with classical music- the anecdote is quite famous in Germany. It is said that Reger's humour was quite peculiar.

Was Reger's Toccata for organ op. 59 no.5 used in the movie the Godfather when Micheal Corleon sends the hits on the rival mob bosses?
