His perky, upbeat nature and Beyblading skills have won him many friends throughout the series. His bit-beast is Draciel, the water turtle (derived from the ancient Chinese turtle God of the North, Genbu).

He was voiced by Ai Orikasa in the Japanese version and Gage Knox in the North American version.

[edit] First season

Special move:

  • Metal Ball Defense

[edit] Second season (Beyblade V-Force)

Max is a happy, good-natured kid who always sees the best in everything and everyone. He is like a brother to Tyson and loves to laugh at whatever life throws at him. Max is a highly skilled Beyblader specializing in a defensive style. Max strongly believes that the key to Beyblading lies in the player, and not the Beyblade. For Max Beyblading is a family affair. He lives with his Dad who runs a local hobby shop specializing in Beyblades and his Mom is a research scientist at a top-secret BBA facility.

Special Attacks:

  • Fortress Defense
  • Viper Wall
  • Heavy Viper Wall

He shares a big simalarirty to tails by being good at building and having the same type of hair

[edit] Third season (Beyblade G-Revolution)

Bright, cheerful and always ready to take on a new Beyblade challenge, Max is the best friend any kid could have. He is a true strategist and when it comes to battling he is a fierce competitor, always looking for a new angle or tactic to win. Max is a master of defensive moves, and what makes his methods even more interesting is the fact that his style is completely opposite of Tyson's. Max's Bit Beast is Draciel, and defense and strategy are the keys to his game. Max upgrades his beyblade to Draciel MS.

Special Attacks:

  • Gravity Control
  • Aqua Shield

Max is one of the few beyblade main characters that hasn't changed throughout the three series in terms of personality. Like Kai, he is known to have clothing changes with every season pointing out that they are the most fashionable of the bladebreakers. It could also be said that Max is the "Anti-Kai" because during the Black Dranzer saga it was Max's Draciel F and the original Dranzer that finally defeated Kai in the end. His hair color changes with every series as well. In the first season it was light yellow, orange in season two and yellow in season three. It can also be noted that he's least likely to be paired with another of the bladebreakers.
