Max O. Stephenson, Jr.

Max Stephenson is a scholar of civil society and public administration at Virginia Tech. As of 2007, he is the chair of CPAP, the Center for Public Administration and Policy. He is also co-founder and director of the Institute for Governance and Accountabilities at Virginia Tech, a center for the study of civil society and its institutions.
Stephenson was a student of Frederick C. Mosher at the University of Virginia.
