Max Keith

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Max Keith was the head of Coca-Cola GmbH, which was the major bottler of Coca-Cola during the National Socialist period of German history.

Keith invented Fanta due to the lack of necessary ingredients (such as syrup) because of the Allied blockade during World War II. Keith was investigated after the war, and it was discovered that he refused to join the Nazi Party despite pressure to do so. Keith turned the Fanta profits over to Coca Cola after the war. Fanta brand drinks were later introduced to the United States and many other countries with great success.
