- Census India 2001 called it Mavelikkara. Mavelikkara returns 33,500 results. Mavelikara returns 29,900 results. Mavelikara redirects here. So, should be okay. - Ganeshk (talk) 19:18, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- Election Commission/Parliament records show it as Mavelikara. I doubt if any traffic/establishment sign boards ever use the double K. Railways use the single K. --Anoopramanujam 06:59, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- The coordinates in the geography section is off its actual location by atleast 20kms the coordinates 9.267° N 76.55° E is more near to the actual location (as in the locator map) and checked in google maps...the change has been done. activevoid 08:09, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- The coordinates at Mitchel Jn. are 9.2506°N and 76.5401°E. I have myself measured it using my GPS device (in WGS84 coordinates).--Anoopramanujam 06:59, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think the idea coordinates here is to guide the user to the city and i do not think wikipedia would be made a source for accurate Lat long....Any way an accurate meaurement is always welcome.activevoid 13:16, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
