Mauro Brandão Lopes

Mauro Brandão Lopes (1916-1993), was a Full Professor of Commercial Law in the Law School of the University of São Paulo, a lawyer and a jurist. Before that he was a Professor of the School of Sociology and Politics of the Mackenzie University and of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. He studied Law in the same university where he later was to teach and Political Sciences in Yale University in the United States. He wrote several books on his field. He is the father of the teacher and translator Ricardo Pinheiro Lopes and of the writer and translator Sergio Pinheiro Lopes.
