Maurice Gatsonides (born February 14, 1911 - Died November, 1998) was a Dutch rally driver and inventor.

Today, Gatsonides' fame largely results from inventing the Gatsometer ("Gatso"), a speed measuring device used today by many police forces around the world to reliably catch drivers who are speeding. He originally invented the Gatso speed camera to measure his cornering speed in an attempt to improve his driving.

He founded the company "Gatsometer BV" in 1958.
