Maurice Connolly

Maurice Connolly was a Representative from Iowa He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on March 13, 1877. Conolly attended the common schools. He was graduated from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., in 1897 and from New York University School of Law, New York City, in 1898. He was admitted to the bar in 1899 and did postgraduate work at Balliol College, Oxford, England, and the University of Heidelberg, Germany. Later, Connolly engaged in the insurance business and banking. He was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third Congress (March 4, 1913-March 3, 1915). Conoly was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1916 and served as major in the Aviation Corps during the First World War. Conolly died in an airplane accident near Indian Head, Md., pm May 28, 1921.
