Maurice Blackburn Cashman

Maurice Blackburn Cashman is a large law firm in Australia. It is notable for its close relationship with Australia trade unions. The firm was established by Maurice McCrae Blackburn as Maurice Blackburn & Co in 1921. Mr Blackburn was a staunch defender of civil liberties and appeared in many trade union law cases.
Recent history has seen the firm involved in many significant legal cases including the 1998 Australian waterfront dispute. It is also actively involved in court cases for asbestos victims.
