Mauretania Comics

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mauretania Comics began in the 1980's, published by Paul Harvey (artist) and Chris Reynolds. Reynolds' main character was the mysterious "Monitor", a strange helmeted figure. Harvey's was the blatant "Mincer". The stories were mainly quiet, distant pieces, as if peering into other people's lives. Graphic novel "Mauretania" by Reynolds was a separate story and was published by Penguin Books in 1990. Mauretania Comics' "heir" is the metropoppyfield.com website. Harvey is now one of the Stuckist painters.
