[edit] Welcome

Hello Matthew kokai,

Although you've been a member for a while now, I just thought I'd let you know of some links you might find useful. I see you've already discovered Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight, so you might like to also check out other Australian resources, like The Australia Wikiportal, Australian Wikipedians' Notice Board, New Australian Articles and Australian stub articles. You can list yourself at Australian Wikipedians.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page.

Again, welcome.-- Cyberjunkie TALK 11:11, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] AID

If you have time, please take a look at my concerns about the Article Improvement Drive nomination of Cold War posted here. Thanks. 172 23:23, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blues for Salvador

Please don't remove templates such as {{wikify}} without doing the required work. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:02, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

I'm afraid that you haven't quite understood how a Wikipedia article should be presented; the link to Wikipedia:Guide to layout (on the {{wikify}} template) should help. On Blues for Salvador, the only article text is: "Dedicated to Carlos' son, Salvador."
On Brandon C. Rodegeb, your wholesale reversions include adding unnecessary headings, mislinking San Francisco, California, removing the link to Vallejo, California, using the abbreviation "CA", etc. With regard to English and style, you've reverted to the ugly multiple use of "at an early age" (which were the last four words of three consecutive sentences).
Before insisting on having your own way, it would be a good idea both to look at how other articles are written and presented and to read the basic Wikipedia advice on how to edit. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:10, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You helped choose {{subst:IDRIVEtopic article}} as this week's WP:AID winner

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week {{subst:IDRIVEtopic article}} was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

[edit] Hydrosphere is Science Collaboration

You voted for Gene and this article is now the current Science Collaboration of the Month!
Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia science article.

Please also spread the word about, and vote for, next week's collaboration, as we have a three-way tie at two votes each!

[edit] Your time zone information on your user page

I notice that you are in Australia.

I thought that I should mention that your time zone is actually GMT+10, not GMT-10, and the correct template is GMT10. Figaro 01:29, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

These are the comments on the nomination, which may be helpful in improving the article:

  • Lots of potential for this little article like examples, causes, and general elaboration. Neum 04:38, 17 August 2005 (UTC)
  • A great fact to include would be the shortest time over which speciation of a sexual organism is known to have occurred. —James S. 21:06, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

In other news:

  • SCOTW needs a new maintainer, and could to with a maintenance bot. If you know of anybody who may be interested in either task, please let them know!
