Welcome to Wikipedia!
Welcome to Wikipedia, MattManic7325! I'm Celestianpower. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". Hello. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! Here, however, are a few links to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
There are lots of policies and guidelines to get to grips with but they all make your life easier and your stay more fun in the long run. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or add {{helpme}} to your userpage - someone will come very, very quickly to your aid. Please be sure to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? ;)
I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a great time, all the best, sayonara and good luck! --Celestianpower hab 14:40, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] How are they vital?
Notice how I didn't take out all of the morphs; I left Rachel's preferred battle and flying morphs. And how they vital, anyway? A pure list by itself means nothing to anybody who has not read the series. Hbdragon88 22:22, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- I still think...hmm...the morphs are covered in the book chronology articles, though. If they were to stay, how would you recommend that they be tweaked? Hbdragon88 08:21, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
I rewrote the portion on morphs of David. If that looks okay to you, I'll try to rewrite all of the bios in a similar style. Hbdragon88 08:47, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- I actually think that bolding each morph is very distracting...all of them already have blue links, so it stands out even more and looks even uglier. Also, what is that "random male Controller" that David morphs? I dont't recall that scene... Hbdragon88 16:36, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, I guess you could bold the non-linked ones, but a bolded blue link sticks out like a sore thumb. I also can't remember that scene, but as I haven't read the book for seven years, I won't argue about it. Hbdragon88 17:37, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Animorphs books
Sure, that would be a good idea. I think the covers qualify as fair use, so they'd be appropriate for illustrating articles on the respective pages.--Lkjhgfdsa 15:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- I like the Invasion page. My only suggestion (I just implemented it) is to use the {{spoilerend}} template after the plot summary.--Lkjhgfdsa 22:46, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Optional paramaters
I managed to get some help on Parser Functions. I added a "Preceded by" and "Followed by" paramater into the {{Animorphs Books}} template, which eliminates the need to use {{neighbors}}, which I thought stuck out like a sore thumb. The image paramater is also nwo optional, so it doesn't look as bad for articles that don't currently have a book cover image. Hbdragon88 05:32, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Added note: I created Category:Animorphs books. I'll start populating the category with all the articles on the books that you've already written. Keep up the good work - I like the plot summaries a lot. Hbdragon88 06:48, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
