Hello, MathNerd. I like math, too. I found your page by typing "Mathnerd wiki" into Google.

I have an idea! I think it would be cool to have a wiki for math enthusiasts like us. Instead of exploring patterns in isolation and reinventing the wheel, we could start projects and collaborate, and help each other finish them! Without knowing how to program, (which is of course a great thing to know and learn), people of any age could benefit from one another's collaboration.

I came up with this idea as I was creating a spreadsheet on which every prime number above three is placed into a quadrant, depending on whether it is of the form 4n+1, 4n-1, 6n+1, or 6n-1. I noticed right away that twin primes always go in diagonally opposite quadrants. Then I thought, "Why should I do this all by myself? Somebody, somewhere might like to see this. They might even like to add some numbers to this spreadsheet."

What do you think of this idea?

I uploaded the file, releasing it into the public domain. It's called "Primes_into_quadrants.xls." Please take a look.
