Welcome to Mathieu François-Barseghian's page. If you want to know more about me, you can check my personal website. My main contributions are on french Wikipedia, but I try to make them consistent with the english one.
[edit] Why do I contribute to Wikipedia?
We all have our personal reasons to contribute to the Wikipedia project (cathedral or bazaar?). But I think everybody appreciate one of its fundamentals: to give the opportunity to everyone, concretely and at his own pace, to show that Mankind can also do the best.
Wikipedia uses to its full potential the true Internet philosophy - coming from its technical architecture and protocols (cf. peer-to-peer). Using the Web is not the same than to passively watch TV. There is no consumer/supplier, client/server... Everybody can read and write. Incredible, this is a model where everybody gives a little and gets lots more :-)
