MaTRiX709 is the handle I used when I first ventured online. It is a concatenated shortening of ”Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One” ie Seven-of-Nine from Star Trek Voyager. Therein lies the proof that the word matrix existed before 1999. As a young boy, this seemed the perfect nick. Now it follows me around whenever I play online games such as Counter Strike:Source and Day of Defeat. Gavin
