[edit] Merge
I don't think that this article fufills notability requirements and is probably a vanity article, but I don't think it's unnotable either. So, I propose a merge with the main school page. --Mindtriggerz 03:26, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Object - This article should be separate for several reasons:
- The school district, Fayette County Public Schools, acknowledges MSTC as a program independant of Dunbar HS. [1] MSTC has its own "School website," "school email," etc.
-
- If considered as a school, which seems to be - at least partly - how the district considers it, an argument has been put forward that all schools are notable. If you do not accept that argument, I believe MSTC still reaches the level of notability. On average, about 4% of MSTC graduates earned perfect SAT scores, and about 16% are National Merit Finalists. All graduates complete a major research project, which is presented before peers and university professors and frequently leads to published work.
- As mentioned within the article, the MSTC director is at the same level within the school district as a HS principal, and so does not answer to the Dunbar principal.
- Although housed within Dunbar, MSTC has its own distinct facilities, including a computer lab, greenhouse, chemistry lab, and director's office.
