Matthew "Matt" Leuenberger is an Australian rules football player drafted by the Brisbane Lions in the 2006 AFL Draft at pick no. 4.

Leuenberger represented Western Australia in the under-18 Rising Star program and was a key prospect in the ruck. He stands at 202cm and weighs 92kg and is considered a ready-built utility, likened to Collingwood's last no 1 pick Joshua Fraser. His ruckwork, mobility and agility are some of his key assets. He had an astonishing 61 hitouts in one game in the U18 championships; such performances earned him selection in the U18 All-Australian team.

He is also an impressive mark of the ball and has a unique skill to have clean hands in wet conditions. He says his most significatnt achievement in sport was being awarded an AIS (Australian Institute of Sport) scholarship. He is now 18 years of age and has given the football world a taste of what is to come. [1]
